Letters to Congressmen
While doing research for this project, I came across an article from The Hill, written by Congressmen Steve Israel about his proposal for the "Cold War Medal Act of 2015". I never realized that there were any Congresspeople who wanted a medal for Cold War veterans; I knew I needed to write to him about my project and the proposed bill. Unfortunately, the bill never left the House Committee of Armed Services. I wrote him a letter that can be found here:

I also wrote letters to Congressmen Elizabeth Esty and Joe Courtney (Esty being the one Connecticut member of the House Committee of Armed Services, the committee that was first given the bill, and Courtney, being the one Connecticut member of the House Committee of Veteran Affairs) concerning the bill.
